Ecofest 2025
Ecofest is one of our town’s biggest family days out, held at the beautiful Tondoon Botanic Gardens. Thankfully we dodged the rain and the weather was great for Gladstone families, industries and community organisations to come together to reflect on the fantastic natural environment we are all privileged to live in and enjoy.
The QER team always enjoys being able to engage with people from the community about QER’s commitment to minimise our impacts and maximise the benefits of our project for the community.
Plenty of Mums, Dads and carers stood corrected by their kids in our competition requiring entrants to guess which side of our mine rehab photo was the rehabilitated area, and which side was original bushland. See if you can guess in the photo to the right!

Congratulations to Luke Creighton and his family who won the draw for QER’s guessing competition and will be spending 2 nights at the wonderful Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort. Enjoy!
I’m looking forward to next years Ecofest and hope to see you there.
Spot the Difference! – The trees on the right hand side of the photograph are on rehabilitated mine land, and the left hand side is original bushland. How did you do with your guess?
