As I step into the role of General Manager at QER, I want to acknowledge Peter Zambelli’s outstanding contribution to the company over many years. He leaves a strong legacy, and I am grateful for the opportunity to build on the foundations he has created.
Since joining QER, I have been warmly welcomed by the team, our industry partners and stakeholders. It has quickly become clear why Peter speaks so highly of the people and communities connected to our business. QER has a talented and committed team, including those at our Gladstone operations, and I am excited to be working alongside them. The facility at Yarwun is impressive and speaks to the commitment of QER in Gladstone.
My career has taken me across a range of technical, commercial and project leadership roles in Australia and overseas, and I am looking forward to bringing that experience to QER as we continue to advance our development activities. We have an important opportunity ahead of us, and I am excited by what the future holds.
Over the coming months, my focus will be on listening, learning and working closely with our people, partners and the communities connected to our operations. Together, I am confident we can build on the strong work already underway and continue creating value for our stakeholders and positive outcomes for the regions in which we operate.
I would like to thank Peter for his support during the handover and wish him all the best in his retirement and continued role on the QER board. I look forward to working with our team, partners and community stakeholders as we take QER forward together.
