Mamma Mia Here we go again!
This year, the Gladstone Community Musical was Mamma Mia, and Tony our site technician and a huge ABBA fan, was eager to be my +1 for the opening night. What a spectacular production it was! The talent on display was truly incredible, and I couldn’t help but laugh as a tall bearded man enthusiastically sang along to the ABBA hits. It was a sight to see!
We were also proud to see a familiar face on stage. The talented Nicola Bradshaw played Sophie Sheridan, and her father Mark, a former shale colleague, was in the audience.
Mark and his wife Michelle are living out their lifelong dream of sailing around Australia, and they happened to be back in town for a special reason – to watch their incredibly talented daughter in the show.
What really impressed me was the level of professionalism and skill that went into the production. I feel so fortunate to live and work in a regional community where the Australian dream is still very much alive and thriving.
