The Best is Yet to Come

Our Laboratory Manager, Melissa and I were lucky enough recently to be part of the National Youth Science Forum representative dinner held in conjunction with the local combined Rotary Clubs. We were both impressed at the depth of talent of Gladstone’s young scientists, and we left thinking the future of science is in safe hands.

It takes a large number of people to make this kind of event happen, so a special shout out to Bruce and Robyn Hunt for their commitment and drive in the NYSF program.

On the subject of talent, I’m often asked about what the current fuel crisis means for QER. The answer is, we were already on the job to tackle Australia’s future fuel security and in the process of ramping up our team.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Nicola Bradshaw and Brant Mossman to our Gladstone site and Maddy Williams, Joshua Stone, Erin Hagerty and Cony Paredes Bujes to our Brisbane office.

We have a lot of work to do to scope out an alternative source of fuel for our country, and we have a very bright future ahead with this talented team on board.
