How you do Anything…
There’s a good quote in the latest John Wick Movie: “How you do anything, is how you do everything”. It’s true of life and I think true of running a world class operation.
Last week we were pleased to welcome international visitors to QER’s New Fuels Development Centre here at Gladstone. As is often the case, we received many compliments about the quality of our site: the housekeeping, the grounds, the systems, even the food!
I’m proud of the culture in our team: paying meticulous attention to the way that everything is done, and constantly looking for ways to make things better.
We try to reflect this in everything we do: on safety; in our relationships with our neighbours and the wider community; in our contribution to QER’s Research and Development program; in the way we maintain this facility; even the care we take on the gardens.
Lee Kuan Yew – founder of modern Singapore – had a vision of making Singapore “A Garden State”. He recognized that a well-tended garden reflects a well-ordered nation, helping build the trust and confidence of all who come and go. We hope the quality of our site does the same thing.
