Ecofest – Still the Best
Sunday Morning: just a hint of chill in the air under the crisp blue sky. We made our way along the verdant paths of the Toondoon Botanic Gardens, with a spring in our steps and a song in our hearts….
Alright, alright, alright… I know I’ve lost the plot a bit. But what a great day the 2024 Ecofest was!
For anyone who hasn’t had the pleasure: it’s one of our town’s biggest family days out. Gladstone’s families, industries and community organizations come together to reflect on the beautiful natural environment we are all privileged to share; raise awareness of what we all need to be doing to protect it; and to showcase local environmental initiatives.
One of the things I enjoy is being able to engage with people from the community about QER’s commitment to minimize our impacts and maximize the benefits of our project for the community.

Congratulations to Sophie Radloff who won the draw for QER’s guessing competition and will be taking her family for a night at 1770 and a cruise on the “Larc”.
I’m already looking forward to next years Ecofest. See you there!
